HLTF worked closely with Torchio Architects on the design of a new modern timber frame house in Centreville, Maryland, including developing timber frame and steel connection designs and an overall strategy for using glued-laminated (glulam) beams. HLTF manufactured and installed Southern Yellow Pine glulam beams and Douglas Fir tongue and groove deck material that accent all of the home’s main living spaces. The house exemplifies how timber framing and modern design can be paired successfully.
