This beautiful timber framed outdoor pavilion was constructed of kiln-dried Douglas Fir. Both the timber frame and the Eastern White Pine roof decking are stained in a rich dark finish. Because of the Waverly Pavilion’s tight poolside location, the crew assembled the heavy timber roof trusses on the ground on the opposite side of the house. Then, the pre-assembled truss system was flown into place by crane. The truss system sits atop steel posts. Pre-cut post slots were added in the shop so that the timbers fit exactly into place.
